Oak is by nature exceptionally durable, strong and weather-resistant. Even without treatment, this wood keeps its strength and character for years. Thanks to the chamfered head system, rainwater is drained efficiently, considerably extending the life of the posts.

The rails are screwed onto one side of the posts. That makes this system:

For optimal durability we recommend using Postsavers at the base of the posts. These heat-shrink protective sleeves prevent rot from ground contact. 👉 With Postsavers the oak posts easily last 20 years or longer. Other dimensions can be produced to order.
Price per linear metre
The pricing shown here is converted to a price per linear metre. For the Budget Oak Pasture Fence, one section is calculated at approximately 2.5 metres between post centres. This is the most commonly used spacing for oak pasture fences: strong enough to support the rails perfectly, and wide enough to keep material use limited. This makes it easy to calculate how many posts and rails you need for your project.
👉 Worked example: A 25-metre fence consists of roughly 10 sections of 2.5 m, each with a start and end post. Choose the number of sections you want or calculate the total in linear metres — the system is flexible and adapts to any terrain.
